Getting Started with the Kanban Board: Adding Sections and Tasks
The kanban board will automatically have one section when you create it. Rename this section if you want to, then add as many more sections as you need or want to manage your tasks with the kanban online in Workep. For example, a basic kanban board typically has three sections: to-do, in progress, and done. Name the sections however it makes most sense for you and the type of project you are working on.
Once you have created the sections of your online kanban board, it’s time to start creating the kanban cards that represent your tasks. To do so, simply start typing in the “Add Task” field under any section heading to name your card, then hit the enter key when you are done. Click on the kanban card to open up the task so you can add a description, attach or create files, create subtasks, assign team members, add tags, specify the start and end dates, activate powerful in-app features such as the time tracker and budget tracker, and more.
Share Your Kanban Online Through External Collaboration
You can share a kanban card with anyone outside of your organization by opening up a task and clicking on “Share”. This will provide you with a shareable link for which you can change the permissions by clicking on the three dots beside the link. Choose whether your external collaborators will be able to view, edit, or comment on the kanban online, then click “Turn Sharing On” to automatically copy the link to your clipboard so you can send it to anyone.
